Mountain Trip - Fall 2008

For the first time in many years I didn't make the annual trip to the Rocky Mountains. My beloved 18-year old cat, Tiger, was battling heart disease and I just couldn't leave him for eight days. So I stayed behind taking care of Tiger, tending to the Fergs' herd of critters, and periodically receiving a cell phone picture of Aspen-covered mountains from the crew in Red River. Cold, very cold.

As you can see in the pictures, the Aspen were spectacular this year. But without me there was no Cornhole, no Uranus jokes, and no trips to the Fish Hatchery (that magical place will change your life). So don't let their smiles fool you, it was a miserable vacation for all involved. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The following 11 people went this year:
Dan Stone, Chuck Mandernach, Nancy & Stan Ferguson, Shelley & David, Tim & Debbie Speck, Audrey Speck, Trevor Speck

Smiling through the tears. Clearly they were missing me big time.

Whoa. Chuck took the winning photo this year.
